Jesus is coming! Are you prepared? –
Deacon Rod Knight

Jesus is coming, look busy! I assure you that Jesus Christ is coming again, I also assure you we know not the day nor the hour. Christ knows His flock, His adopted brothers, and sisters. But He welcomes all who are willing to repent, believe and be obedient to the Father. The scariest phrase in Sacred Scripture “I never knew you; depart from me (Matthew 7:23).” Are we looking busy thinking that will suffice? Can we fool God? The ten virgins all kept watch (ALL KEPT WATCH), but only five made it to the wedding feast. The five who were prepared. Are we prepared? I hope and pray that we are all doing a daily examination of conscience. What if today God calls us? Let us examine our preparation. Are we using the gifts God gave us? When was the last time we went to confession? How is our prayer life? Are we studying the Gospel? Are we loving God and neighbor? Do we truly believe? Oh God, help our unbelief become belief! In the military, we would say “failing to prepare is preparing to fail.” This was important because our lives could depend on it. Our eternal lives are dependent on our preparation here, now, today. Let us be doomsday preppers having our spiritual affairs in order, ever ready to settle our account with our Master.  – Deacon Rod Knight
