Rorate Caeli Mass
To Honor our Blessed Virgin Mary
Saturday, December 20th | 7:00 AM Our Lady of Lourdes
Join us for a Rorate Caeli Mass on Saturday, December 20th. Offered only during the season of Advent, this beautiful service is traditionally celebrated at sunrise and lit entirely by candlelight.
The Mass is held in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It draws its name from the opening Latin chant, Rorate caeli desuper, which means “Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above.” This ancient prayer refers to the heavens “dropping down” the Savior into Mary’s womb.
We invite you to experience this peaceful tradition as we prepare for the coming of Christ.
