We have some big news to share with you all about the pastoral leadership of our four parish family. As of July 1st, there will be several changes to the priests assigned here at our four parishes.
Fr. Adam Laski will be leaving to go to St. Michael’s in Iron River, Sts. Peter and Paul in Moquah, St. Peter in Dauby, and St. Florian’s in Ino to serve as Pastor there.
Fr. Isaiah Schick will be assigned to canon law studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC for several years (along with Fr. Samuel Schneider).
Fr. Phil Juza will be retiring and will be helping out around the diocese and parishes as he is able.
We will have 2 incoming priests. Fr. Dan Tracy will be the new parochial administrator, coming to us from his time at St. Patrick’s in Hudson. Fr. Sagar Thomas Kanna will be the new Parochial Vicar, coming to us from the Diocese of Guntur in India.
All three of us are so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve all of you for these past few years, and we are excited to know that Fr. Dan and Fr. Thomas will continue to be good spiritual fathers for you. They each bring a litany of spiritual gifts to their ministry. We are grateful to Bishop Powers for his spiritual leadership for our Diocese and for working to provide the best spiritual care he can for the people across all of the parishes.
Again, these changes will be effective as of July 1st – any sacramental requests or needs (such as weddings, funerals, etc.) will be directed to the new pastoral leadership of Fr. Dan and Fr. Thomas. Thank you for your prayers and support of our newly incoming priests, as well as for all of the love you have offered us in our time here. Know of our prayers for you in return!
