Lenten Mission: A Reflection on Scripture, Prayer, and the Jubilee Year with Dr. Bergsma
By Hannah Zabel
Mark your calendars! An extraordinary opportunity awaits us on March 21-22, 2025, as we welcome Dr. John Bergsma, a renowned biblical scholar, to St. Joseph Catholic Church. This event promises to be a powerful experience, enriching our understanding of Scripture, the Jubilee Year, and the vital role of prayer in our lives.
Dr. John Bergsma is the Vice President of Biblical Theology and Mission Effectiveness at the St. Paul Center. He is also a distinguished Professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville and a renowned expert in the Old Testament and the Dead Sea Scrolls. A former Protestant pastor, Dr. Bergsma entered the Catholic Church in 2001 while getting his Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. A close collaborator of Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. Bergsma speaks regularly on Catholic radio and at conferences and parishes nationally and internationally. His expertise and insights promise to make this event truly exceptional.
