
The Father Dennis Mullen Adoption Initiative is hosting its first bicycle ride fundraiser this September to raise awareness about the need for adoption and to help families with adoption expenses.
Local cross-country bicyclist and philanthropist, Mark Scotch, has teamed up with The Father Dennis Mullen Adoption Initiative and the Knights of Columbus Council 2137 for this weeklong event that starts on Friday, September 8, and goes through Friday, September 15, for a total of nine overnight stops and two short stops along the route.
The ride will start in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on September 8th, stopping in Ladysmith on September 8th, Colby on the 9th, Steven Point on the 10th, and Tomah on the 11th. It will continue to the Shrine Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe – La Crosse on the 12th, Durand on the 13th, Menomonie on the 14 th, and finishing in Rice Lake on the 15th. The nine overnight stops will allow for a special prayer and fellowship event. More details will follow and all are welcome to attend.

There will also be a bus trip that coincides with the ride on Tuesday, September 12, from Rice Lake to La Crosse to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. All money raised for the Father Dennis Mullen Adoption Initiative is tax deductible and will go toward supporting adoption including legal fees, transportation, home safety upgrades, and personal support and encouragement for those considering adoption.
