Hello, my name is Stephanie Schissel and I am excited to join the St. Joseph Catholic School and Four Parishes One Faith team! During the weekday I am a Science Teacher at St. Joseph School and a few hours a week I spend building the Youth Ministry program with Four Parishes One Faith. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor adventures with my dog, Lombardi, watching the Green Bay Packers, and playing with my three little nephews.
I grew up in Rice Lake and attended St. Joseph School from pre-K through 8th grade, and I am so excited to be back where it all began. After graduating from RLHS in 2015, I studied Biology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where I was comprehensively formed in both faith and science. Upon graduating, the Lord called me to serve as an inner-city missionary with Vagabond Missions, breaking the cycle of hopelessness, and sharing God’s love to His children who have been outcast and underserved.
After three years of mission work, the Lord has brought me to a new chapter, pairing my love for ministry with my love of science, as the Middle School Science Teacher at St. Joseph.
Attending youth group in high school played an integral role in my personal faith journey. It was there that ZI learned what a personal relationship with Christ looked like, the importance of prayer, and how alive the young Church truly was! In addition to teaching, the Lord has given me this amazing opportunity to grow deeper in faith with the young people of our community. I am so excited to see how the Lord will use this youth group to touch hearts and transform the lives of our parish teens!
I am beyond excited to bring my passion for science and faith into the classroom and build the youth ministry program within our Four Parishes!
