As for me and my house we will serve the Lord
We make decisions every day. Do your decisions serve the Will of God or are they self-serving? It is not too difficult to figure out whose being served. I would guess many of our decisions have not involved God at all. It is when our decisions turn out negative that we go into a fix-it mode, calling upon God for help. The sin of presumption is not attempting to make a change in our behavior but assuming God will forgive us when we have no remorse or do not even consider changing our hearts.
The sin of omission also affects our decision making process. We purposely omit information or criteria that affects our decision process that our will is fulfilled, not God’s Will.
We offer many times and opportunities for the sacrament of Reconciliation. I also will accommodate anyone who emails or texts me to set up an appointment day or night. Just tell me when. I realize that there is not much time before mass, but I am willing to meet with you after any mass.
God’s Will: As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
