Moses did not have a degree in theology or biblical studies. He was a man called by God for a special mission. To do this mission God would humble Moses. His training would be to confront Pharaoh. In this training, Moses would learn that it is when Moses is weak that God would work miracles and lead the people out of Egypt. Moses would be labeled a prophet. His title would be the giver of the law, the giver of God’s law. Everything that the Hebrew people saw Moses do they would also have to learn it was not Moses but God who worked such wonders.

In our life today, do we see the hand of God, or do we think of ourselves only? I would suggest that if you reflect for a few minutes about events that did not work out well that it was because you did not accept God or put your faith in Him. The test of humility is in asking God for forgiveness. Passing the test is when we humble ourselves when everything works out well for us, we stop and offer God praise and gratitude. Everything, good or bad, should prompt us to turn to God, to offer praise and glory. Know that God has a plan for you.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
