Move Over, The Spirit Is Moving In

We are in this time between the Ascension of Jesus and the coming of the Spirit. The angels told us to stop looking up and get to work. Great. What is our work?

To go out and baptize everyone. And that is called evangelization. Oh, but wait a minute. I don’t know how to speak like that. I am not smart enough. I don’t know the faith well enough to talk to anyone about it. So many excuses. Well, let’s look at the truth. If we have excuses, it is because we are afraid to step out of the box, out of our security zone.

At Pentecost watch out! Because you better move over in your little box because the Spirit is moving in. And He’s going to blow apart your box because it is not big enough for the two of you.

The Spirit comes to strengthen you, give you courage, and open your eyes to a whole new world. But wait, I have all those excuses. No, you don’t. You are not asked to share your faith in those ways.

Instead, you are to give testimony. Yes, testimony. You only need to share how God is working in your life. When challenged about your faith, thank them for their questions. Then tell them how God has granted you miracles and graces in your life. Our God is love and I know He loves me. There is nothing stronger than your personal testimony because you lived it.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
