You Testify to Me
Jesus speaks of the Spirit of Truth. We can understand this Spirit to be the Holy Spirit. We are taken back to how we understand God.
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty. His only begotten Son, Jesus. I believe in the Holy Spirit which proceeds from the Father and the Son.
We can testify to this because of our Creed. We can imagine the love between the Father and the Son. It is through this bond of love that the Father and Son draw us into them as adopted sons and daughters. God has done everything for us. Still, He invites us into His love that we also participate in creation.
As we experience His love, we are to share freely what we receive. The Spirit will guide and direct, watch over and protect, and grant us the grace needed in every situation through love. John teaches repeatedly that God is love. We are to love one another. We testify to this truth whenever we speak of Jesus or perform works of kindness and mercy.
