Everyone is racing around. Running to the tomb. Running back to tell the others. And then you encounter Jesus. And just like in the movies everything goes into this slo-motion mode. Your feet are not able to move but your heart is racing. You want to reach out to touch Jesus, but your body is not working but your mind is racing – can it be Him? Can I believe? Should I believe? Then you hear His words: Be not afraid. Now you drop to your knees proclaiming: My Lord and my God!
You have changed this year. We all have changed. SLO-motion might be a good description of who we are now. We have had to choose what is best rather than scrambling around thoughtlessly. We think twice about doing things we once rushed into. Easter has arrived and for the next six days we celebrate His Resurrection. Perhaps not in SLO-Motion but in a faith filled heart overflowing with love.
Could it be – you have an Easter glow about you. Share it with others.
May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
