Will Live Forever
When we enter the church, our thoughts should be thinking of God and imagining that we are entering heaven here on earth. We are no longer in the world, but in the spiritual realm of God. We are part of the great wedding banquet of heaven.
To complete that banquet, we receive the bread of life, Jesus. Through this great meal we receive eternal life. We recognize that we are members of the Body of Christ. We become what we receive. The body and blood, soul and divinity of our Lord.
Saul was blinded by the light. Others had to lead him. During those three days of blindness, Saul learned the virtue of humility.
It would be embarrassing to be led everywhere, needing help with all things, not able to help yourself. But God sent Ananias to cure Saul’s blindness. And probably to spend a little time explaining to Saul just who Jesus is and that it is not a good idea to be persecuting Him.
Saul has a change of heart and takes the name of Paul. Now instead of persecuting Jesus Paul becomes the greatest evangelizer for Jesus. Paul is brought into the great banquet of heaven. Paul begins to teach others how they will live forever.
May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
