What Is Resurrection?
It is one thing to say Jesus is resurrected but another to explain what that is. There is a program on The Shroud of Turin on EWTN that explains scientifically how the imprint of man came to be on the cloth. And the person explaining is a priest, too.
Through his explanation he tells you exactly what had to happen in each cell of the man’s body and the intense levels of energy required. What is so remarkable is his conclusion. After sixty minutes of detailed explanations, he concludes that it could happen. Then he asks if he considers this a miracle. The answer: absolutely. There is nothing that our science has or probably ever will have that can do this.
We should also consider the new appearance of Jesus. He is no longer held in a three-dimensional world. He can do so much more that I am sure we cannot possibly imagine what that might be.
And here’s another miracle. If we die to Christ, we will be raised just as He is. We become part of His Resurrection. Reflect today then on the Resurrection and what it means to you.
May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
