What Is Coming Up

What Is Coming Up

Mark’s Gospel instructs us to go out into the whole world and proclaim the good news. We have some great things happening in our cluster the next couple of weeks. Today is a retreat for our First Communicants. They are completing their preparation and will soon receive the Lord Jesus in communion. Please keep them in prayer. As a reminder, we do not do one single mass where all are present. We ask the parents to choose the church and mass time that fits them best to make this a special event for their child. The entire family comes up to witness to their child receiving First Communion. In a very real sense, this is evangelizing by the entire family coming forward. A witness to all in the church.  So, for the next few weeks watch to see these children come forward.

May 5th we will celebrate the sacrament of confirmation. Twenty-one great young people will be confirmed at St Joseph that Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM. Remember your confirmation? It is a special day. Having interviewed many of these young people I dare say they are all impressive young women and men. They are ready for the sacrament.

With St Joseph school ending the school year soon, we will have an 8thgrade graduation and Mass on May 23rd, special Mass time – 11:00 AM.

Continue to pray for these young people, may they have a blessed and safe summer.

And for all of you, may your Easter celebration continue with many blessings too.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
