Yesterday & Today & Forever

God spoke to Abraham “my covenant with you is that you will be the father of a host of nations”. How many is a host of nations? How many generations does it take to finally have a host of nations?

This means God’s covenant is forever. It started that first day with Abraham. The covenant is still in place for us today. From yesterday to today we are in God’s covenantal plan. And looking into the ‘forever’ future we will remain in God’s covenant.

Jesus is the Word of God when He spoke the words of the covenant with Abraham. There was a covenant with Noah, David, and now Jesus establishes a covenant that reaches into the forever. A covenant with our God that is perpetual, always has been and always will be. God’s love for us is perpetual never ending. His mercy and forgiveness are never ending. Only you and I can break the covenant. If we do break the covenant God invites us to return.

Yes, it is, Jesus, yesterday and today and forever.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
