Come

We celebrate All Souls Day as a people longing to be with God. It has been said that our time here on earth is short, but eternity is forever. How should we then spend our days on earth? Planning for the here and now or forever? Maybe we are not sure how to do this. In the last book of the Bible one of the last verses says that the Spirit and the Bride simply invite us by saying one word: come. Nothing more need be added. The Spirit of course is The Lord. The Bride is the people of the Church. We just need to come.

Some may argue that there must be more. Or how will I spend my time? What will I be doing? And many more questions will come up. And all good questions if we were going someplace here on earth. But it is not here on earth. We are speaking of heaven. And the mystery is no one really knows what happens in heaven.

Only Jesus came down from heaven and He did not share. But through His teaching we can develop a relationship with Him. Now do you trust Him when He says come?

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
