A Criteria for Judging?

When you are introduced to someone for the first time, do you judge them? We all make judgments. With the first introduction our judgment is based on what we see. Their clothing, their hair, their manners, and many other things. But do you trust them? Just because someone looks good and attractive does not mean they are trustworthy. You may have used the phrase, “I wouldn’t trust them any farther than what I can throw them!”

Jesus encounters another group of people that are not trustworthy. After Jesus has taught the truth and explained what has been done wrong, this group tries to put the blame on Jesus by saying, “You insult us too.” In other words, they do not to accept the truth but by placing blame on someone else they think themselves innocent.

If you must judge, then do it correctly. The first step, stand in front of the mirror. Second step, list the criteria upon which you are going to judge others. Third step, determine if you pass the criteria you have established. If not, are you sure you really want to judge another person?

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
