Tuesday After Monday

The holidays are done. You are back to work. Monday you could share memories with others what you did with your vacation. You also got to see all the work you have to do. In some cases, it is work that you did not finish last week. So it is now Tuesday. Tuesday is the day where everyone works to get everything off their desk and on to a desk belonging to someone else. That means for every item you get off your desk two or three other people are bringing their work to you.

I am thinking when Jesus does the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes it must have been a Tuesday. Just a couple of days ago was the Sabbath. Then people would have had to walk a long distance to find Jesus. They would have been focused on everything He said. Jesus looks upon them with compassion knowing they are hungry. He feeds them with an abundance of food remaining.

On your next Tuesday, look at your coworkers with compassion. You may have to give them additional work but you can offer to help them. Maybe you know how to do the work easier or faster. Share your ideas with them. Maybe you can do the work together to make something even better. Then do that. Working together is God’s plan. Jesus used his disciples to serve the people. Let us serve one another.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
