These Boots Are Made for Walking

“He who walks blamelessly and does justice . . .” Here’s the challenge. You are a Catholic, right? Then let’s start walking.

Right away in Proverbs we accept the first step. We do not refuse good to those who ask. When someone needs help, we don’t tell them to come back tomorrow. We step up and give aide – now.

We walk with our neighbor. We don’t cause the argument but work to seek understanding.

We don’t judge people, but we step up to living a moral life even when those around don’t. We use our boots for walking, not abusing others.

We accept the call to be light to the world. We walk in the footsteps of Jesus our Lord. We have nothing to hide, the darkness is chased away by the light. Just as we follow Jesus our way of life attracts other to follow in our steps.

So, put on your boots. Let’s take the message of Christ out into the world.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
