Here are links to our readings for the day:

Divine Hope

Two people, hoping where there was no reason to hope. The woman suffering for so many years. No one could offer her a cure. A father’s grief, his daughter had just died. There would be no bringing her back. What was it about Jesus that allowed people to hope again where there had been no hope?

Jesus offered divine hope. Divine hope is turning to God when there is no one else to turn to. Divine hope is trusting that God will hear and answer your prayers. Divine hope is also accepting God’s way of answering. We cannot impose our will upon God. But we can trust that God’s will is best for us.

We live in a great nation founded on important values and teachings. They came from a people seeking Divine hope. We continue what was started. We must always pray for our country and our families.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen
