The World is Quiet Today

The world is quiet today. Its Creator has died.

But His work does not stop. He goes down to the netherworld to realize the souls of the just, to bring them home to Himself.

We do not stop. Some must work. Others attend to their families. Some will enjoy the Easter celebration a little early. All is good. Still, the world is quiet today.

There were no masses said on Good Friday. Mass is not celebrated until the Easter Vigil. Then we will be filled with joy. Right now, knowing our Lord and Savior is in the ground, what are you thinking? As we go through the Passion narratives, I think sometimes we become numb to the story. We have heard it many times. I encourage you to read through it again. Think of the different people in the story. Jesus, being always in control. Judas scared and taken over by Satan. The disciples fearful for their lives deserting Jesus. The women at the cross.

In this quiet time, where do you see yourself in this Passion of the Lord.

May the Lord bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen
